Q: what can you tell me about chevy blazers?
I am selling my economic honda accord for a chevy blazer. i know it seems crazy but i need a bigger car for alot of things i do. what can you tell me about their gas mileage, dependability or just your experience with them? the one i am looking at buying has 130k miles on it. whats your opinion?
ps: besides the mileage the guy has put a lot of work into the car and it is fully loaded.
A: well i own a chevy s 10 balzer myself if you keep your foot out of it you,ll get about 300 miles to the tank full. first you want to know what size engine ,and the condition of the tranny! check the oil and other fulids. all over condition .

A: A HO (High Output ) is made different and more perfomant and powerful than the Normal 4.3 so the 4.3 HO has 45 hp more powerful (195hp)and better torque.

Q: Do Chevy Blazers run okay with high miles?
I just saw an ad for a 2000 Chevy Blazer for only $1,995, but it doesn’t say how many miles are on it. It just says “Lots of Miles Left,” whatever that’s supposed to mean. If there is some ridiculous amount, is it still worth buying just to get me back and forth to school and work?
A: You must see this auto for your self. All sellers are going to do all they can do to ’sell’ you on this car! you’ll have to see if this is worth that amount to you.
I have engines and transmissions for this and with my experience as a mechanic working on a car is something I don’t mind doing.So for me it is worth that sight unseen. If it is beat up, I have more cars and trucks and could use the parts.

Ive been interested in getting a K5 blazer to do some light offroading in, im wondering how expensive parts are, and how reliable they are. Not including the inevitable repairs required from offroading, how reliable are these trucks?
A: some of the best old k blazers are the ex military 84-86 blazers. since they are military surplus they usually have low miles and are excellent for off road. they come with 6.2 diesel engines and usually have limited slip rear ends.

the k5 blazers are cheep to keep, parts are readily available, and they are fun to drive. they also make awesome winter rigs. the diesel will get over 20mpg.
we’ve had our 85k10 for over 14years and its still running strong.

A: I think the first year was in 1995 for the chevy blazer to have airbags.

A: The RCDLR (Remote Control Door Lock Receiver) module is under the left side instrument panel insulator, just behind the DLC (Diagnostic Link Connector). It works in conjunction with the BCM (Body Control Module) to operate the keyless entry.

A: The LS and LT refer to trim levels and body styles of its midsize SUV. There was a base model and then the LS , followed by the top-of-the-line LT edition until 2000. A: If you call your local dealership, ask for the service department, and give them the Vehicle Identification Number, they will run a check on any recalls or service bulletins that apply to your vehicle and tell you if they have been done (good to know if you bought it used) for free.

A: They’re not gonna be any safer than any other midsize SUV in its class. If you’re concerned about safety you don’t want an SUV. I’ve never been in an accident with my Blazer, thank God, so I guess I can’t speak from a personal experience.
Other than crappy fuel mileage, I think the Chevy Blazer is at the top of the lists for the domestic midsize SUV.

Q: 1995 chevy blazers fuel pump relay?
I had the problem of my blazer not starting. It ended up being the fule pump relay that went out. I bought another one and it ran fine for a couple of days. Now most of the time when i start it it starts fine but after it warms up it starts to idle rough and acts like it wants to die while driving. There is also times where I am able to start it and it will run for a couple of minutes and then die on me,or the relay switch wont kick on at all when I turn the key. If I monkey around with the relay switch it will start just fine but still run rough. What could be going on??? its a 4.3L v6 engine
And as for the check engine light ya that is on but its been on for a long time. Had it in the shop for that and they couldnt find anything wrong. They hooked it up to the computer and it wouldnt tell them anything.
A: Quite possibly your fuel pump may be on it’s last legs. When an electric motor becomes worn (bearings, etc.) it will draw more current than it is rated for. This could be what caused the relay to fail. The same high current that is flowing to the pump is switched by your relay and that high current could have burned the relay.
