2009 Toyota Highlander
A: A 16 gauge seems to work quite well.
Q: How can I find the interior color codes for a 2009 toyota highlander?
A: Door jam (the sticker when you open the door)
Q: Where is the oil filter on a 2009 Toyota Highlander?
Recently purchased an 09 highlander and my husband will eventually be changing the oil himself. HOWEVER…he is having trouble locating the oil filter and the manual doesn’t seem to have the answer…
A: What engine? On a 4.0L Tacoma it is on top front right. If the highlander uses the same engine, it may be in the same place.
Q: Towing with Toyota Highlander V6 2009 (Automatic, not AWD)?
I have a 2009 Toyota Highlander and a 5×6” enclosed cargo trailer that I used to pull on family vacations with my old Explorer. The Highlander does not have a towing package. I wonder if it is safe to get a hitch installed on the Highlander and to use the trailer. How do I find out how much the trailer weighs so I can check the owner’s manual for any limitation?
A: Take it to the truck scales or a scrap metal recycling center in your area. Both sites should have drive on scales. The other option is to look on the trailer if it’s not too old the weight should be posted on the tongue or the front of the trailer somewhere. As far as the highlander definitely check with the dealer after you have trailer weight. Also I highly recommend adding an external transmission cooler to the yota…to keep trans from overheating under all that stress.
Q: Is a 2009 Honda Pilot better than a 2009 Toyota Highlander?
A: Yes.
Both are very reliable, but Honda a bit more. Not noticeable.
New Pilot has a more boxy design, which means more space inside. More trunk space, more compartments, more room to be comfortable.
It also has the weaker, more fuel efficient engine so the Toyota is a little faster. Again not noticeable. Gas mileages are still similar, but Honda better.
Q: How do I stop the air recirculating mode from automatically turning on? For 2009 Highlander.?
My 2009 Toyota Highlander has the recirculating air turn on automatically each time the car is started (NOT IN AUTO mode or AC on mode). I didn’t see in the manual how to stop it from doing this.
A: It may be something you have no control over, and expected behavior. Ask the dealer next time you stop by, and see what they say about it.
Q: When is the 2009 Toyota Highlander coming out?
A: probably november, december this year or early next year.
Q: Where is the oil filter on a 2009 Toyota Highlander V6 gas.?
A: Under one of the exhausts manifolds.
Q: Which Toyota Highlander do you recommend we purchase?
A 2008 Toyota Highlander Limited with 11,000 miles on it. It is Certified pre-owned Toyota with warranty and in mint condition.
A 2009 Toyota Highlander Limited new (200 miles on it) for $3500 more. The two cars are virtually the same in every way (for specs, features, etc.), just wondering whether it is worth $3500 more (over the course of the loan period) to buy a brand new car. Thanks for helping!
A: Get the certified 2008 for $3500 less. In real costs, it is actually going to end up saving you more than that because the certified vehicle comes with a much better warranty.
No brainer – go with the 2008 with 11K miles.
Q: Will the 2009 Toyota Highlander have a split 3rd row seat? The 2008 has a one piece bench 3rd row seat.?
A: We have a TOYOTA SIENNA XLE minivan and 2005 HIGHLANDER 6 cylinder AWD w/3rd seat. Whereas the SIENNA is very roomy, plenty of cargo space, Rear HVAC and reclining captain seats, this is to let you know that perhaps we didn’t take enough time and made too many assumptions when my wife insisted on trading a CAMRY LE sedan for a 4 wheel drive SUV like her sisters bec some things that we missed are rear AC <=corrected in 2008 and better reclining seats. The 3rd row whether one piece or split is smaller than usual (can accomodate only 2) so we only occasionally use it but for long out of state travel or carrying a lot of people we normally take our SIENNA XLE where the split seat feature is nice unless it's of course wintertime when our Highlander AWD option might be necessary due to unexpected inclement weather.
Hope the Above Info Helps!
Q: 2009 toyota highlander price?
Any one who bough this car, please tell me how much you paid for it. I am getting one of these. Thank you.
A: For a regular highlander it is a 25 or 26,000. For like a Hybrid it is about 34 or 35,000.
Q: why is a 2009 Toyota Highlander good?
A: space, reliability, drive, fuel economy for size.
Q: 2009 Toyota Highlander Hybrid?
pros & cons anyone?
A: A hybrid SUV will never be worth the extra money. The Highlander has so many cool features on the Hybrid though that the Gas version doesn’t have.
The truck is still great for the environment because of its ultra low emissions…but the gas mileage isn’t great.
Q: Do u like the 2008 toyota highlander or the 2009 nissan murano?
A: if you don’t need the 3rd row seat and have deep
pockets get the Murano
2008 toyota highlander
$23,751 – $34,955
Standard Seating 7
2009 nissan murano
$26,330 – $35,910
Standard Seating 5

Q: Is Toyota Highlander of 2009 good for off-road?
A: The Highlander is more of a crossover vehicle since it’s developed from the Camry platform. I wouldn’t use it for real rough off-roading.
The 4-wheel-drive model is high-range only. You can’t do things like lock the differentials or select low-range 4WD to maximize torque, which are needed for true off-roading.
