Q: How much do you think a Toyota RAV4 Black with 30k miles would cost after a lease is complete?
How much do you guys think a rav4 would cost after a lease is complete ? How low do you think a toyota dealership would go? It’s a 2007.

A: Look on your lease contract. It will show you what the residual value of the truck will be. It isn’t up to the dealer to set a selling price on it. Its up to the lessor. Your best bet is to call the lessor before your lease is up and see if they will negotiate anything at all on it. 99.9% of the time, the answer is no.

Q: How much is a transmission for a Toyota rav4?
How much will it cost to fix a transmission on a 2002 Toyota Rav4, 2 wheel drive if we bring the car to the Toyota dealer?

A: their around 3400 bucks from a dealer,if you can find one used from a salvage yard it will be a lot cheaper, even a transmission shop would be cheaper than a dealer would be,good luck.

Q: What year did Toyota Rav4 switch to electronic fuel injection?
I am looking to buy a used car for my daughter and the old Rav4 has no power. Toyota swiched from throtle body to electeonic fuel injection and I would like to know what year.

A: All Rav4s have been multi port fuel injected.

Q: How do I use my VIP remote start on my 07 rav4?
I just bought a used 2007 Toyota Rav4. It has a small sticker on both windows of vehicle stating that it is equipped with VIP remote engine start. My key has the ability to unlock, lock, and panic. Is there a code that I need to know in order to use this key to remote start my vehicle?

A: There’s usually a button you push to start the engine. It only works when the key is nearby (ie. in your pocket)

Q: How soon do brakes and tires need to be replaced on a Toyota RAV4?
My 2006 RAV4 needed brakes and new tires after only 2 years with approx. 25,000 miles. Is this normal? I know that it depends on your driving habits but I’ve never needed these things done on any other vehicle I have owned.

A: you done good on mileage you really cant use mileage as a factor in some cases ,because some people have to use the brakes more than others do,so you cant always go by the amount of miles on a car,go by the amount that you have to use the brakes,25 thousand is good for a set of brakes though on any car, good luck.

Q: What exterior accessories can I purchase for my 03 Toyota Rav4?
I just purchased a used 2003 Toyota Rav4. It has a silver exterior and darker interior. The overall look of the car is great, but the colors are average and it resembles a family vehicle.

Is there anything that I could do or buy for my vehicle that would make it look more sportier?

A: Some suppliers make nerf bars for the side and guards for the grill and taillights. This may give it a more aggressive appearance.

Q: What is the fair price to negotiate for Toyata 2007 RAV4 ?
I want to buy Toyata 2007 RAV4 (Base I4 4*4) in the end of Sep.

Is “total $20,000 plus processing fee, 3% VA sales tax and DMV fees” possible?

Please give me some suggestions.
Thanks.

A: Anything is possible you got all the tools at hand with the Internet, get some quotes before you go shopping, go to my website http://www.usedcartips.org/ and click on the free auto quotes,

Q: What are the symbols on the gear box of the Toyota RAV4 of 1998?
I have bought a used Toyota RAV4 which has some Korean symbols and letters on the gear box. (don’t have a user manual either). There is a red button on the automatic stick. Does anybody know what it is for?

A: Are you sure it’s not Japanese? :)

It’s probably the O/D toggle, but I think some RAV4 have an ECT option as well.

Q: How do I replace the reverse light on my 04 Toyota Rav4?
I noticed recently that my Rav4 has a reverse light out. I can’t figure out how to access the light to replace it does anyone have a clue?
I noticed recently that my Rav4 has a reverse light out. I can’t figure out how to access the light to replace it does anyone have a clue?

Edit: I’ve looked at the panels in the back on the inside. I can only reach the lights for one side that way. The other side has no screws or anything to remove the cover.

A: in the boot there should be a section of the plastic u can take off to access the bulbs(u may need to take anouther panel insite that) then fing out which is brocken(test) and replace it.
OR there may be some screws on the outside of the car to take off the red plastic to acces the screws one of them anyway

Q: How much would it cost to paint a silver 2006 RAV4 black?
Hey guys,
I really want to have my silver 06 RAV4 painted black… They didn’t have black ones in stock when I purchased my RAV4, so I was stuck with a silver one. I am looking for a solid paint job.
Would anyone recommend Maaco?

A: buy me about ten cans of spray paint, I’ll do it for you. just kidding. You can go to Maaco, but don’t get the cheapest paint job, have them do it right. it may cost a little more, but in the long run you will be pleased.

Q: Can someone who owns a 2007 Toyota RAV4 tell me the pros and cons of owning one?
We test drove one and really liked it, but have been hearing a lot of things about the engine noise on freeways. Can someone who owns one, tell us the pros and cons of a RAV4?

A: I traded in a 1999 4Runner and a 2005 Corolla on a 2007 RAV4 about a month ago. I bought the 4 Cylinder Sport. I have heard no engine noise at all, in fact it has been a great little SUV. I’m not sure if you are looking at the base model, sport or limited, but I would recommend the Sport but in a V6 instead of the 4 cylinder I bought. You will get better power, and the gas mileage is not too different than the 4 cylinder. I had to buy a 4 cylinder in order to make an even exchange for my trades.

Generally speaking….

THE PROS:
-Can move the rear seat back further to make more room in the backseat.
-Comfortable seats
-6 CD changer nice amenity
-Dash set up nicely
-Lots of trunk space
-Very smooth ride, smooth shifting automatic transmission
-Gas mileage comparable to a car but SUV performance
-4WD performs awesome!
-Price is very good for the quality you get!

CONS:
-It is a small SUV, therefore if you haul lots of kids, pets, etc. it may be worthwhile to pass over the RAV or even Highlander for a 4Runner.
-Doesn’t have 4WD in high and low
-As mentioned before, 4 cylinders lack power at critical points, like merging onto freeways, etc.

Overall, I’d pick a Toyota over any of its competitors. Hope my two cents helped!

Q: Which vehicle is better Mitsubishi Outlander or Toyota RAV4 V6?
I plan to buy either the Mitsubishi Outlander or the Toyota RAV4 V6.
I need experienced / insightful analysis of the benefits/cost analysis/features and long-term performance analysis of both these vehicles when compared to each other.

A: Toyotas run FOREVER.

Q: What subwoofer should I put in my 2008 Rav4?
Ok so I have a 2008 Rav4 and the sound system is decent but i really want to improve the bass and such. I am really new to the world of audio in cars and need some suggestions on how to go about this. Thanks.

A: Well i just put Kicker CRV 102 subwoofers in my Cobalt and they sound great! go on crutchfield.com they will help you with all your audio need!

Q: how big is the rav4 limited compared to another similar suv?
I have been looking at the normal rav4 (sport i believe). I found a rav4 limited 2006 at an amazig price. I am looking for my first car. And am worry that this suv is a lot larger then the regular rav4 is it?

A: No, FYI Rav4 and Rav4 Limited have exact same body dimensions and difference is more in terms of interior upgrades etc. In my personal opinion Rav4 is too small for a SUV (we have Highlander AWD and Sienna XLE) and have also owned Camry LE and Corolla LE as well as Corolla Wagon. If we were buying, we believe there are other better comparable choices like Honda CRV or even Scion or Toyota Matrix in terms of overall cargo space and economical gas mileage.

Hope the Above Info Helps!
