Toyota Highlander
A: Yes, the TOYOTA HIGHLANDER LIMITED does come in 2WD bec our next door neighor has 2005 HIGHLANDER LIMITED 2WD and when we were visiting ATLANTA GA for wedding in early MARCH 2008, I also saw several TOYOTA HIGHLANDER LIMITED 2 wheel drive which makes sense bec not enough snow and inclement weather to justify All Wheel Drive (AWD) which gets less mpg. FYI my wife drives 2005 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER 6 cylinder AWD <= we don't have limited but we also own TOYOTA SIENNA XLE MINIVAN
Hope the Above Info Helps!

Q: toyota highlander?
does the highlander have 3 rows of seats?
in all versions of the highlander?
is there no real trunk with the 3 row of seats?
and you have to put down the 3rd row to have any trunk space?
does the 2nd row of seats have much leg room?
or are you squashed?
can you get a 2 row highlander?
with more second row room? and more trunk room?
A: i just bought an ‘08 Highlander Sport today (taking delivery tomorrow), and whether or not it comes with 2 or 3 rows of seats depends on which trim level you choose.
Here’s a breakdown of the seating configurations for each trim level:
Gasoline-powered models:
The Highlander (base model) includes a standard 3rd-row seat with the optional “Two-Row Seating package” which replaces the extra row with an additional cargo compartment.
The Highlander Sport includes a standard 3rd row seat, but there is also the option of replacing the 3rd row with the extra cargo compartment.
The Highlander Limited also includes a 3rd-row seat, but there is no option to remove the 3rd row.
Hybrid models:
The Highlander Hybrid (base model) does not include a 3rd row as a standard feature, but this can be added as an option.
The Highlander Hybrid Limited does include a 3rd row seat, and you cannot select a two-row seating package.
The 3rd row seat folds flat into the cargo floor, and the cargo area is surprisingly roomy with the 3rd row folded down. However, if you have the seats up, this is reduced significantly.
I’m slightly above average height (5′11″) and i had no problem sitting in the 2nd row captain’s chairs. I found them comfortable, and i had plenty of legroom (especially compared to my old 2003 Subaru forester!)
I hope i answered your question.
Q: How to know if my Toyota Highlander 2004 is limited?
How to know if my Toyota Highlander 2004 is limited? I found the dealer’s listing where you can find the pics. It’s a 3.3 v6 and the dealer hasnt mentioned if it’s limited but from the specs i feel that it is limited. Can someone please help? I am trying to sell it so I need to know if I should mention limited on it. Thanks.
A: The easiest way to tell on a 2004 model Highlander if it is a limited model or not is to check the HVAC controls (A/C and heat). You can get almost all of the other “stuff” that most limited models came with on the standard model. Do you have dials to control the fan, temp and where the fan blows? If you do, you do not have a Limited model. If you have push-button auto-climate-control where you set the temperature on a digital display, you have a limited model.
The leather, heated seats, wood grain, alloy wheels, sunroof, etc. can all either be on or added to a standard model but if you have the auto-climate control you have a limited model.
Hope this helps.

Q: How do i tow my wifes 05 toyota highlander with a 2005 Nissan pathfinder?
I need to move my wifes car (05 toyota highlander) for about 1200 miles – without driving it. I intend to use my truck (05 Nissan pathfinder); the truck doesn’t have anything hooked up for towing. Any advice or recommends would be appreciated.
Using a transporting company would be my last alternative as the budget is very tight for this move.
Thanks.
A: First you will have to get a tow hitch for your truck. If you don’t know much about hooking one of these up, then you will have to have a shop install it and set it up for you, an RV shop should be able to do this for you. If you are towing that far then you will want to have her vehicle on a trailer, so you will probably have to rent one from UHaul or a place like that that does one way rentals. They will let you know if the set up (trailer and vehicle) is within safe limits for towing with you Pathfinder, which I believe has a 6000 lbs towing capacity. Just remember, when you are towing, take it easy, don’t speed, and allow plenty of time for braking and space for maneuvering. Consult your owner’s manual for other info about towing with your particular vehicle.
Q: How do u program a key fob for a Toyota Highlander?
I broke my keyless entry remote and missplaced the other one I had. I just purchased one (not from the dealer) and need to know what do I have to do to program it? Its for a Karr alarm system. 2006 Toyota Highlander.
A: If it’s a “karr” system it sounds like aftermarket crap thats you might as well just take out of the car because it’s useless crap.
as for the factory remote, try holding down one of the buttons (most likely Lock) while turning the key in the door lock.
Q: How can I shut off the maintenance required light on a 2006 Toyota Highlander?
I did the service on my friends 2006 Toyota Highlander but I don’t know how to reset the maintenance required light. I know how to do it on a Honda but not on Toyota. Can anyone let me know? Thanks
A: TURN THE CAR ON AND MAKE SURE THAT THE MILES READ ON ODOMETER, NOT ON TRIP A OR B. TURN THE CAR OFF THEN HOLD DOWN THE ODOMETER BUTTON AND TURN THE CAR ON. RELEASE THE ODOMETER BUTTON AFTER LIKE 3 SECS. AND THEN THE GAUGE SHOULD START TO COUNT DOWN. THEN IT WILL BE CLEARED
Q: Where can I buy 2008 toyota highlander front license plate mount bracket?
I have 2008 toyota highlander, and am looking for front license plate mount bracket. I could not find them any of web.
A: Basically you may opt for a generic bracket, as this seems to be an ongoing issue with this Toyota.

Q: What do you think about the 2008 Toyota Highlander?
I really don’t like the styling on this one. Toyota must have a really plain vanilla design team for their SUV division. The new RAV4 and Highlander are just so boring to look at! I miss the concept Highlander design that they showed awhile back!
A: Its pretty good but my mom has the 2006 version
Q: my parents toyota highlander was crashed will the warranty cover it?
my parents just bought a 2007 toyota highlander for $35,000. they got a warranty for the car that protects against damage except for 3 minor things i forgot the other 2 but one was brakes nothing major expensive. well last night our car got hit in the rear passenger side and the tire and bumper lights and shocks were damaged. the person who hit the car fled away. will my parents warranty cover it?
A: O HELL NO. if you tryed to even ask the dealer that they would just laugh at you .
Q: What is the least expensive/good In-Dash Navigation for toyota highlander?
2002 toyota highlander limited, i want an in-dash because with a double-din, it will block my controls for temperature. Ipod interface/aux jack will be even better with it
. Help is greatly appreciated!
A: crutchfield.com will show you what fits your car and have user reviews to determine what works the best.
Q: Can a 2003 Toyota Highlander pull a trailer?
I am interested in purchasing a camper/trailer to reduce hotel costs when I go out of town. I have a 2003 Toyota Highlander V6 All Wheel Drive. It currently does not have a hitch, I know I would need to purchase one. Is it possible for this vehicle to safely tow a standard recreational trailer?
A: You need to find the safe tow-wieght for your SUV
In addition, unless a Travel Trailer is ultra-light… then NO
You need to know the weight of the camper/trailer you are going to pull
for an average Travel Trailer, you need at the very least a 1/2 ton truck
Most likely you MUST stay less than 3,500
It you got something very small like a teardrop travel trailer, then it might be something you could consider
also, look at pop-ups, they usually weight a little less also
Q: How do you reset a 2007 toyota highlander?
I have a 2007 toyota highlander and the maintenance light is on and I was told to find the reset button, where is the button and could someone provide help with the steps. Thanks
A: See if odometer show mileages, not trip.Hold reset button down, turn ignition key on,keep holding the button down and watch mileage numbers turn into slashes and extinguishes themselves, when numbers come back,it is done.
Q: How can I protect my car from scratches from our cats? We bought a new 2009 Toyota Highlander.?
We just bought a new 2009 Toyota Highlander. We keep it in our garage every night, but we also have 4 cats that run around the garage. With our current car (a 2005 Ford Explorer), we have caught them on it, and there are scratch marks on the hood and the top of the car from them. With the new car, we will also have a sunroof, so that is also a problem.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
A: A 16 gauge seems to work quite well.
Q: The Toyota Highlander – how well does it handle heavy rain and snow?
I know the Toyota Forerunner does (I used to own one but it’s too expensive to buy now). I am turning in my Mercedes SUV – had it for 3 years and it’s just terrible in heavy rain and does not handle well at all under extreme weather conditions. Let me know how you think the Highlander will do?
A: highlander just does ok they are not great in heavy snow they do alright in light but in heavy snow they just slide and for rain as long as you are not driving too fast you should be fine. if you want a toyota i would get another forerunner or landcrusier, even if you have to wait another year to buy it it will be worth it to get the better vehicle
